1. Effective 29 July 1997, Major ROBERT J. BATEMAN is promoted to COLONEL and appointed DEPUTY COMMANDER of the SVR.

2. Effective 29 July 1997, Colonel DAVID R. MEDERT is re-appointed COLONEL and appointed CHIEF OF STAFF of the SVR.

3. Effective 29 July 1997, Captain NORMAN F. WHEELER is promoted to CAPTAIN and re-appointed COMMANDER, 1ST MILITARY DISTRICT of the SVR.

4. Effective 29 July 1997, Colonel ELMER F. ATKINSON is re-appointed COLONEL and appointed INSPECTOR GENERAL of the SVR.

5. These appointments are for a period of three years to expire on 28 July 2000 unless the same shall otherwise be lawfully determined and annulled.

Effective 4 February 2001, Captain Robert L. Queen, Adjutant, 7th Military District Sons of Veterans Reserve, is commissioned Major, Sons of Veterans Reserve, and is appointed Provost Marshal for the 1st Spring Memorial Parade, SVR, to be held in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

2. The duties of Provost Marshal for the Spring Event shall be to handle parade registration and provide information to parade participants, oversee the line up and superintend parade activities, and act as liaison between the SVR and the Spring Event committee. The Provost Marshal will report directly to the Commanding Officer, Sons of Veterans Reserve, or his designee.

3. This commission expires at 2400 hours 21 April 2001 unless the same shall otherwise be lawfully determined void and annulled.

The Provost Marshal will report directly to the Commanding Officer, Sons of Veterans Reserve, or his designee.
